Title: "Disorganized money grab"

Score: 1 out of 10

This place is a disorganized wreck. Do yourself a favor and save your money. We showed up at 8:00 p.m. thinking we would be able to get through all of the attractions by 10:00 p.m. We actually left at 10:00 p.m. after waiting in line for 2 hours and probably had another hour and a half left to wait in the line. That was just to get in the main gate. To see the other attractions, there were long lines for them as well. There was no way we would be able to get out of there before midnight after showing up at 8:00 p.m. That is ridiculous. You have an entire year to plan and you've been doing this for 20 years. You should have it perfected by now, especially for the price. There's absolutely no line management either. Once they have your money, they really don't care what happens. There were multiple large groups of kids cutting in line. They had plenty of security there, but they were all standing around talking to each other not doing anything. A few of these teenagers bumped into my wife while in line and said something very derogatory to her that made her feel uncomfortable. We actually didn't feel safe, so we left. We paid $35 each so $70 for my wife and I. We also had to pay for a babysitter which cost $40. That means we spent $110 tonight and got nothing. Needless to say, we will never be back. It is nothing but a money grab.

Suggestions for the Attraction: They have been in business for 20 years now. You would think they would have it together, but they do not. First and foremost, if you're going to have ticket specials through Facebook, actually give people who buy the tickets through the special a ticket. Some friends we went with purchased tickets ahead of time and they couldn't even find record that they purchased them. Second, they need to put security in the line. We observed multiple people cutting in line while security guys (complete with pistols on hips, handcuffs, and bulletproof vests mind you) stood around doing nothing. Third, they need to do something about the length of time people wait in line for the attraction. It's not fair to make people wait 3 hours in line without warning them ahead of time. If we knew it was going to take that long, we would have done something else with our Friday. They know this and so it feels like bait and switch. You need to get people through the line quicker. Waiting 1 hour is somewhat reasonable. Waiting 3 hours is absolutely ridiculous for the price they charge.

f I could give 0 stars to all but acting Staff I would. First we waited 3 and a 1/2 hours to get into the first part of the 4 part attraction, while everyone who bought the 25.00 extra Speed passes and 50.00 extra VIP passes were let In. (Hope you thought your 85 or 60 bucks was worth it.) I also need to mention that Line Jumpers were rampant and when I complained to Security they did NOTHING. Even then it took 2 hours for the speed pass line to empty so if you think your buying something to get you in quicker your really not unless you arrive are hours early (Heard one set of people say they were there 1.5 hours early, We arrived an half hour early. Also after the first part there was another 1/2 wait to get into the 2nd through 4th parts. Once we finally got in we went through an outdated attraction with venues I had seen from the 80s and 90s. I will say that if a separate set of Stars was available for Staff Effort I would give the Acting Staff 5 stars. Security gets the 0 stars as well. To those of you who think Why didn't we leave, There are no REFUNDS and we had stood in line so long, I had to see if it was worth it. IT WAS NOT. We really did see people leave in disgust and give up their hard earned money. Please do not give the greedy owners of this dilapidated, outdated, overpriced and Customer apathetic venue your hard earned money. DO NOT GO HERE.

Suggestions for the Attraction: Shut it down. As much as I was disgusted. Modernize and many other attractions now have set arrival and entry times

The atmosphere was meh. The haunt was not great aesthetically. The actors were horrible. ( yep heard 'BOO' outta two of them along with the over used wanna play???) Actor costumes did not fit the scenes almost as if they were allowed carte blanche or someone doesn’t know how to match costumes and scenes… ticket prices are RIDICULOUS! They are trying to command prices at more money than haunts that are ten times the size and ten times better. I understand that there isn’t much around Columbia but man don’t get bent over by this haunt… keep driving through to either ST Louis or KC! Much better entertainment fair your dollar in those cities atm.

We visited this house with high expectations of the amount of people that were in line. However the enthusiasm slowly went downhill. The ticket lines opened at 7:30 but we did not realize that once you paid you then had to wait in another line until the house itself opened at approximately 8:30. We were near the front of the line, within the first 100 people, and waited in line for at least 3 hours. We had gotten there at 7. There is a light show in fireworks which is cool before you go into the house however I would have taken actually going into the house over those. The first two houses are all right I like the way that they separate the lines by using multiple locations. The graveyard was by far my favorite it definitely had a lot of jump scares and the actors were amazing they were extremely friendly and extremely talkative I like the interactive aspect of it a lot not a huge fan of haunted houses that you large amount of animatronics. They would ask questions and go along with it. However between the wait time and the lack of jump scares in the first two houses chances are we will not be back. We had planned to hit one other place that night. But weren't out until almost midnight.

Suggestions for the Attraction: Concessions. Some sort of warning like, gates open at 730. Haunted house opens at 830 or something of some sort. But recommend arriving early. The light show on the tv was cool. But only really keeps you busy so long. Maybe play some classic horror films?
